My original work involved demonstration of applied physics, in its scientific methodology, to study the simplistic and common phenomenon of projectile motion.  This was done by creating a theoretical and experimental model of projectile motion, and comparing the two, to see if the theories accurately describe reality. â€‹

The experimental model was composed of a python simulation, which, when given an angle and magnitude, modeled the arc of a projectile with that trajectory. One such arc is shown below.

The experimental model was created with an Arduino circuit board , a DC motor,  and a stepper motor, wired together with a breadboard and programmed with C code. This setup is seen below.

The accuracy of the simulation relative this experimental setup was far from ideal, but such can be attributed to the susceptibility of airsoft pellets to wind resistance, and a lack of exactness in the algorithm which converted m/s speeds to DC voltages. However, the setup effectively demonstrated key concepts contributive to applied physics as a venue for studying natural sciences.
